Welcome to Middle School!

Zeke Mientkiewicz here. I coordinate Middle School programs for Anchor Youth Ministry: the combined youth ministry program of Saint Cecilia’s and Saint Thomas Aquinas’ parishes in Ames. As your child moves into middle school next fall we're very excited to welcome him or her to everything we have to offer in Anchor Middle School Youth Ministry. Here's some important information and links for you:

Summer 2024 Programs

Middle School Summer Ministry

Incoming 6th graders are also welcome to join us on Wednesday nights throughout the summer for Middle School Summer Ministry. Running from June 12th to August 5th, youth gather to play games and learn more about their faith.

Totus Tuus 2024

This program is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic Faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. Grades 1-6 meet Monday, July 10 - Friday, July 14 from 9am - 2:30pm daily. Grades 7-12 meet Sunday, July 9 through Thursday, July 12 from 6:30pm - 8:45pm.

Youth Ministry Registration

This year we are proud to increase the flexibility and ease of our online registration by using one system to register all students from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Interviews

Each year, I ask all incoming 6th grade families to meet for a registration interview to introduce myself and our programs. I am available to chat over the phone, via video call, or at St. Cecilia or St. Thomas.
