EDGE

What is EDGE?

EDGE is a large group youth ministry gathering similar to your stereotypical youth group. We gather a large group of middle school kids to:
  • Have fun with zany games or equally exciting activities
  • Pause to listen to a testimony or teaching
  • Break to chat and build relationships in small groups
  • Close the night out with challenge or a prayer.
EDGE is focused on helping students encounter God through experiences of community, prayer and the sacraments.

Schedule

During the School year: 
First three Sundays of the month, 4-5:30pm*
St. Cecilia Soccer Field

COVID-19 Adaptations

Your children's safety is our top priority at Anchor Youth Ministry, and we do everything we can to ensure that our participants come home safe after every EDGE night. To adapt to the current pandemic, we are adopting the following precautions: 
  • First, Anchor EDGE will meet outside on the St. Cecilia Soccer Field for the immediate future. We've bumped up our starting time to make the best possible use of natural daylight and to avoid other parish events. This decision was made to limit the spread of the virus and to take advantage of the beauty of creation.
  • Second, while we will meet outside,  please note that social distancing is still expected during our gathering. We will be spreading out at least 6 feet apart  to follow the example set in the parishes liturgy and other work. 
  • We expect that your children will wear a mask, bandana, or other face covering while they attend. Spares will be available for any lost or soiled coverings. 
  • While not required, you're child is welcome to bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on during small group discussions. 
  • ​Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.  While we will move into the church in the event of cold or other inclement weather, we hope to stay outside for as long as possible. An announcement will be made via email and social media on Sunday by 12:30 PM.
