- How to take part in Holy Week:
- Holy Thursday - Make some homemade bread, share a meal and literally break bread with your family. Be a servant to each other and wash the feet of your family members
- Good Friday - Take a Crucifix/Cross off of the wall, hold it in your hands, reflect on what Jesus did for you, pass it around to each family member to hold. Say the Stations of the Cross, prayers of the Stations of the Cross
- Easter Vigil - Hold a bonfire outside, light your fireplace, light a candle and gather around it as a family. Light overcomes darkness. Christ overcomes darkness.
- Easter Sunday - CELEBRATE Christ is Risen! Celebrate this day in a very extra special way! Have each family member light a candle and renew your Baptismal Promises: Do you renounce sin, so as to live in the freedom of the children of God? Do you renounce the lure of evil, so that sin may have no mastery over you? Do you renounce Satan, the author and prince of sin? Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth? Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered death and was buried, rose again from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father? Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
